The Confraternity of Catholic Clergy (CCC) is an association of 600 Catholic priests, deacons, and seminarians pledged to:
- the pursuit of personal holiness;
- loyalty to the Roman Pontiff;
- commitment to theological study;
- and strict adherence to the authentic teachings of the Magisterium.
Founded in 1975, the Confraternity seeks to implement the call of Vatican II for ongoing human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation of the local clergy.
The New York Chapter was re-established by seminarians of the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Centre on February 3, 2012 at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, NY.
Particularly praiseworthy are those associations which support priestly fraternity, sanctity in the exercise of the ministry, and communion with the Bishop and with the entire Church.

Another help can be given by priestly associations... All the forms of "priestly fraternity" approved by the Church are useful not only for the spiritual life but also for the apostolic and pastoral life.

One should hold also in high regard and eagerly promote those associations which, having been recognized by competent ecclesiastical authority, encourage priestly holiness in the ministry by the use of an appropriate and duly approved rule of life and by fraternal aid, intending thus to do service to the whole order of priests.

Secular clerics have the right to associate with others to pursue purposes in keeping with the clerical state. Secular clerics are to hold in esteem especially those associations which, having statutes recognized by competent authority, foster their holiness in the exercise of the ministry through a suitable and properly approved rule of life and through fraternal assistance and which promote the unity of clerics among themselves and with their own bishop.

The Confraternity achieves this in various ways:
- the international convocation held every five years in Rome to meet with confraternity members of the United Kingdom and Australia;
- the annual convocation where theological scholars and experts give lectures and hold discussions with members;
- the publication of the journal, SAPIENTIA, which presents sacred sciences, magisterial decrees and current events for local clerics to
understand;
- and attendance at local chapter meetings for afternoons or evenings of recollection (Holy Hour, Vespers, discussion of a theological
reading, and fellowship).
